Hewlett-Packard
Rob labored at Hewlett Packard for greater than 20 years, https://trimaran.org/automotive/rob_schreiber.
Sparse
Iain Duff is thought for his work on algorithms and software program for sparse matrix computation. In 1990, he visited Stanford and gave a chat within the numerical evaluation seminar. I attended the speak. So did John Gilbert, who was then at Xerox Palo Alto Analysis Middle, and Rob Schreiber, from Hewlett Packard Analysis. All of us went to lunch at Stanford’s Tresidder Union and there Gilbert, Schreiber and I made a decision it was about time for MATLAB to help sparse matrices.
In 1992 we launched sparse matrices. One in all our examples is west0479
SIAM
Rob has been a member of SIAM for 50 years, https://www.fb.com/watch/?v=464499592673781.
NAS Benchmarks
The NAS Parallel Benchmarks (NPB) are a set of applications designed to judge the efficiency of parallel supercomputers. The benchmarks have been developed as a part of the Numerical Aerodynamic Simulation (NAS) Program on the NASA Ames Analysis Middle. The benchmarks are derived from computational fluid dynamics functions and consist of 5 kernels and three pseudo-applications within the unique “pencil-and-paper” specification. Rob is without doubt one of the 14 authors of the primary specification, NAS Benchmarks.
The NAS Benchmarks acquired the Supercomputing Take a look at of Time award at SC15 in Austin. Rob is subsequent to Horst Simon, who holds the award.
Cerebras
Cerebras Techniques is a ten-year previous Silicon Valley startup. https://www.cerebras.ai/firm.
The guy within the heart is holding the Cerebras “chip”, a complete silicon wafer. Rob is on the fitting, within the inexperienced shirt.
