On July 14th, 2026, 47 Python core builders and particular company sat down
on the Python Language Summit, this 12 months
held in Kraków, Poland at EuroPython 2026, to debate many subjects concerning the future
of the Python programming language, together with free-threading, Rust, rubbish collectors,
kind annotations, and namespacing.
This marked the primary time the Python Language
Summit had been hosted in Europe in 15 years, when the occasion was
held in Florence on June nineteenth, 2011.
Going ahead, the Python Language Summit will alternate between
PyCon US and EuroPython on a yearly foundation.
The summit was organized by Emily Morehouse, Hugo van Kemenade, Lysandros Nikolaou,
and Łukasz Langa, and weblog posts had been written by Seth Larson.
Beneath are summaries of the ten full-length
talks and 5 lightning talks that had been offered on the 2026 Python Language Summit.
I hope you get pleasure from them, and thanks in your persistence.
